Big John McCoy has been with KJJY since February of 1988, first hosting the evening show, then moving to mornings a year later. He’s the longest-running radio personality in the Des Moines market, having been on the air here for over 38 years. He’s a born & raised Iowan, graduating from Adel-DeSoto high school and Iowa State University. He lives in Waukee with his wife Jo, corgi dog Dewey, and cats, Dolores & Frankie. He loves to cook (check out his YouTube channel called “John Eats Cheap” where he shares lots of great recipes and shows how to make them) and he & Jo love to travel.
