CMA Awards 2019- What a Show!!!

There was so much to love about the 2019 CMA Awards! Dolly, Reba and Carrie hosted. And the three queens of country music did an amazing job!

While I found something I loved in all of the performances from last night, there were some standout moments. Here are my favorites!!

“Women Of Country Performance”

It’s hard to pick a number one favorite, but this one might be it! Seeing so many iconic Women on the same stage was fantastic. Plus there were some faces I haven’t seen in quite some time, Like Terri Clark, Gretchen Wilson and Sara Evans!

“Girl Crush”

The iconic women of country performance set the bar high at the start of the show, but women from the present and future generation of country music had their chance to shine a little later on! They sang “Girl Crush.” One of my favorite songs from the last five years!

Reba McEntire – “Fancy”

Reba!!!! What else is there to say? She’s awesome!!! People even know who she is without saying her last name. This performance of “Fancy” was so firey (Not sure if that’s a word, but I feel it best describes this!). She had a ton of energy on stage!!!

“Me & Bobby McGee”

I had no idea they were doing a tribute to Kris Kristofferson before yesterday. What a tribute it was!! I didn’t know Chris Janson could play harmonica like that either! Seeing Joe Walsh on the stage made this Eagles fan happy too.

Carrie Underwood – “Drinking Alone”

Saw Carrie do this one live at Wells Fargo Arena last month. It was great to see her do it again!!!

God Only Knows” / “There Was Jesus” / “Faith”

I love that Dolly Parton has done collaborations with both For King & Country and Zach Williams recently. And it made my heart happy that those artists were also apart of the 2019 CMA’s!

Brooks & Dunn, Brothers Osborne – “Hard Workin Man”

I’m a sucker for anything Brooks and Dunn. What happens when you throw in Brothers Osborne? Let’s just say I knew this performance was gonna be great before even seeing it!

Eric Church – “Some of It”

“Some of it” is one of my favorite songs from the last year or so. This performance of it felt very intimate. Plus, you can never doubt anything coming from Eric Church!
